Bringing your work in

Actions from an asset

Select anything and the tools that apply to it come to you, which is faster than going to the sidebar to find them.

Select something on the canvas and an action bar appears above it, offering the tools that apply to that kind of thing. Right-click for the full menu.

Working this way round matters more than it sounds. Going to the sidebar means knowing what the tool is called; going from the asset means knowing what you want to happen.

Action What it does
edit-image Opens the multi-model editor with your image already loaded
variations Up to 8 takes along one axis you name
Remove background Cuts it out, no card needed
Describe Writes out what is in it
Upscale Opens the upscaler family
Flip horizontal A plain transform, no generation

Right-click adds the ones the bar leaves out, More like this and Rapid edit among them.

Grab still is the one to know. It pulls a frame out as an image, which is how a moment from a clip becomes an input to every image tool on the board.

Beyond that: restyling, reframing, extending, background removal and adding sound.

  • Render hands it to the pathtracer
  • Material Editor opens its surfaces for editing
  • Fix Orientation rights a model that arrived on its side
  • The remesh and retexture family, all of which are free and local

Rerun reopens the card that made the asset, with the same settings still in it. A near miss becomes another attempt without rebuilding the card, and it is the single most used action on a working board.

Properties shows the full record: the prompt, the model, the tool, the settings, when and where. See provenance.

The menu reads what you selected and offers only what applies. If something you expect is absent, the usual cause is a mixed selection containing something the action cannot run on.

Narrowing the selection brings it back.
