Finished boards you can open, walk through and clone, so a first board can start from somebody else's working method.
The hardest part of a blank canvas is knowing what a good one looks like when it is finished. **Discover**, in the home navigation, shows boards that are: real work, made in Plnty, with every step still sitting on the canvas where it happened. ## What you are looking at One board at a time, shown live rather than as a screenshot. The card in the middle is the actual board embedded in the page, so you can move around inside it and read the prompts, the tool cards and the discarded directions exactly as the person left them. Text beside it says what the piece was and how it came together. Move between boards with the arrows. Nothing you do inside the preview touches the original. ## Taking one **Clone this board** copies it into your workspace and opens your copy. From there it is your board: rename it, gut it, rerun the tools with your own inputs. The original is untouched and the person who made it is not notified. Cloning is the useful move even when the subject is wrong for you, because what you are taking is the arrangement. A board that solves "reference wall, three directions, one approved frame" solves it whatever the product on it happens to be. :::note[Community boards work differently] Some entries are shared boards rather than templates, and they offer **Join this board** instead. That puts you on the board itself alongside everyone else, so what you make there is visible to them. Cloning gives you a private copy; joining gives you a seat. ::: ## Starting blank instead Discover is a place you go on purpose.
