Team
Shared storage
One pooled allowance, one library everybody can see, and a boundary between team and personal work that never leaks.
Assets made in a team workspace belong to the team. They land in the team library, visible and usable by every member, and they consume the team's pooled allowance rather than anybody's personal one. That allowance is considerably larger than an individual one, so a team stops thinking about storage for a long time. ## What stays separate Team work and personal work do not mix in either direction. - An asset made in a team workspace appears in the **team library only**, never in the maker's personal library - An asset made in your personal workspace stays there, and no teammate can see it This is worth stating to a client, because it makes "everything for this account is in this workspace" a fact about the system rather than a promise about people's habits. :::note[Which library an asset lands in is decided by where you generate] Not by who you are. Generating on a team board puts the asset in the team library even if you are the only person who will ever look at it. Switching workspace switches which library you are filling. ::: ## The guest exception One case routes differently and it surprises people. If you are a **guest** on a board, neither the owner nor a member of the workspace that owns it, what you generate lands in **your own personal library** rather than the team's. A link makes it visible on their board, so nothing looks unusual on the canvas. The split only shows when somebody opens a library. :::caution[This means a freelancer's storage fills, not the client's] On a long engagement where a freelancer generates heavily from a single board invitation, their personal allowance is the one under pressure. A seat in the workspace fixes it, and puts the assets where the client expects them. ::: ## What fills it The same things that fill a personal allowance, multiplied by the number of people: - **Video**, by a distance the heaviest - **Textured 3D**, where a 4K PBR set outweighs its geometry several times over - **Generated-and-forgotten sets**, which is where the real volume hides. A grid tool returning eight takes stores eight assets whether you kept them or not The board document itself, with its notes, frames, comments and palettes, is effectively free. ## Keeping it under control In a team the tidying has to be somebody's job or it is nobody's. 1. **Delete the unused half of grid runs** while you still remember which half that was 2. **Check video first** when space gets tight 3. **Remember Deleted is reversible**, so it still occupies space until it is properly cleared 4. **Upgrade** when the work genuinely needs the room, rather than making people ration Current allowances are on [plnty.app/pricing](https://plnty.app/pricing).Assets made in a team workspace belong to the team. What stays separate
Section titled “What stays separate”Team work and personal work do not mix in either direction.
- An asset made in a team workspace appears in the team library only, never in the maker’s personal library
- An asset made in your personal workspace stays there, and no teammate can see it
This is worth stating to a client, because it makes “everything for this account is in this workspace” a fact about the system rather than a promise about people’s habits.
